Hailing from the wilds of Scandinavia, Anne-Sofie Lucan (known to her friends as “Fie”), was brought up in Denmark and Scotland with a born love of shooting. She now has thirty years of experience in big game, clay and box pigeon, and traditional British game shooting. She shoots competitively on an international basis, and has enjoyed the privilege of representing both Team GB and France.
This newly launched range of clothing is born out of Fie’s frustration that country and shooting wear simply had a dull utilitarian look and zero shape, making both men and women alike look as if they had been stuffed into a box with no thought for shape or colour!
She also wanted to be able to step straight from the country into the city, hence the two colour stories, but still have the ergonomics and shape in the clothes to look smart and elegant – and of course to be able to shoot.
As you wear the clothes you will find the wool will give and mould to your shape and truly become a part of you and your identity.
For the first collection Fie decided to use Abraham Moon tweed. A quintessentially British tweed renowned for its history and quality, especially for it military production supplying the British army. This alone made her select Moon as the tweed maker for Lucan as its technical quality intertwined with the tweed, like the Nano technology that repels water, made for a perfect match when out shooting in the country or dodging a shower in rainy London town.
Thank you for joining us on this journey and helping to make this and Fie’s dream happen. Visit our showrooms to see and try on the range for yourself.
